LEGO® Move It! Mechanisms Week @OSL

Course Description

BUILD, CODE, PLAY AND LEARN Mechanisms & Simple Machines Week is all about discovering how things move, lift, turn, and work! Campers will explore the fundamentals of engineering by building hands-on LEGO models that demonstrate real-world simple machines like levers, pulleys, gears, wheels and axles, and inclined planes. Throughout the week, students will experiment, problem-solve, and test their designs to see how different mechanisms can make tasks easier and more efficient. Each project is designed to spark curiosity and help young engineers understand the “why” behind how machines work in everyday life. The week wraps up with our favorite celebration—a LEGO Party! Campers will enjoy games, dancing, free building with LEGO bricks, and cupcakes as they celebrate their creations and accomplishments. Each child will also receive their mini-figure prize to take home as a special reminder of their engineering adventure. It’s a fun, hands-on week of building, discovery, and celebration that brings engineering basics to life!
